JBoss Support Policy
This article specifies the Liferay support policy for the JBoss application server. It addresses support coverage unique to JBoss and not already covered in the generic Application Server policy.
For more details please see the Application Server policy.
When reporting issues with JBoss, it's important to communicate the exact JBoss product being used (e.g., JBoss EAP or JBoss AS). Specific versions of each product have been tested as compatible with Liferay products.
JBoss EAP and JBoss AS are two separate JBoss products and are treated as separate compatible application servers, each receiving independent compatibility assurances. However, the version of JBoss AS included in JBoss EAP isn't tested as compatible unless individually listed in the Liferay product's Compatibility Matrix.
JBoss EAP and JBoss AS were officially diverged in 2014 and are now released as JBoss EAP and Wildfly.
Some versions of JBoss EAP contain a bundled version of the JBoss web server. This web server has not been tested as compatible with Liferay DXP, Portal EE, or Commerce. The setup, configuration, and maintenance of this web server is the subscriber's responsibility.
JBoss AS and EAP Domain Mode aren't compatible with Liferay products.
