SSO (general) Policy
This article specifies the Liferay Support policy for Single Sign-on integrated authentication. It addresses support coverage unique to single sign-on solutions and their integration with the product, and not already covered in the generic authentication policy. The product integrates with SSO providers to facilitate user authentication.
For more information please see the Authentication policy.
Defining Support
Liferay seeks to ensure that the product can be integrated with compatible single sign on solutions and achieve rudimentary authentication, and will resolve any issues with that function.
Liferay Support will provide guidance on configuring the product to integrate with a compatible single sign on solution.
Compatible Solutions
Please see the Integrated Technologies Compatibility Matrix for Liferay DXP, Liferay Portal, and Liferay Commerce.
SAML
For specific details about SAML authentication please see the SAML Policy.
Central Authentication Service (CAS)
CAS is an open source single sign on solution and is compatible with the product. A brief configuration summary has been provided in our documentation. The subscriber is responsible for the implementation of these principles.
OpenID
OpenID is enabled by default in Liferay and can be disabled. For more information please read: OpenID Single Sign On Authentication.
