AWS Cloud Services Support Policy
This article specifies the Liferay support policy for Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services. It addresses support coverage unique to AWS and not already covered in the generic Cloud Services policy.
For more information please see the Cloud Services policy.
Amazon Hosted Elasticsearch Service
For compatibility, please reference Liferay DXP Compatibility Matrix for Hosted Elasticsearch Services
Liferay and AWS Elastic Beanstalk
Amazon provides a service for deploying web applications based on Tomcat called Elastic Beanstalk. Elastic Beanstalk is not tested as compatible with Liferay Digital Experience Platform, Liferay Portal EE, and Liferay Commerce ("the product"). Please consider utilizing EC2 for AWS deployments.
Liferay Clustering and AWS EC2
The default clustering communication technique for the product is multicast. Amazon has not implemented multicast traffic within their network. Liferay Support is able to offer guidance on configuring Liferay to communicate utilizing Unicast. For more information please see the Clustering and High Availability policy.
