NTLM Module in Digital Experience Platform 7.2
The NTLM module can be used to create a single sign-on (SSO) implementation with Active Directory accounts based on the NTLMv2 standard. The module is deprecated and was removed from the release of Liferay DXP 7.2. A final version of the module compatible with Liferay DXP 7.2 will be released as a Marketplace app.
Resolution
The NTLM module has been replaced by Kerberos based authentication. SSO integrations previously utilizing NTLM should migrate to Kerberos based authentication for Active Directory accounts. If you need to use the NTLM module with DXP 7.2 and the Marketplace app is not yet available, please open a support ticket in order to request the app. The NTLM module has been made available to customers, however, issues reported concerning the app will be resolved on a case-by-case basis.
