Liferay DXP 2023.Q3 and DXP 2023.Q4 Transitional Support Coverage
Liferay announced improvements to its Service Life Policy in November 2024. These changes included a designated Long Term Support (LTS) Quarterly Release with Premium Support for three (3) years and Limited Support for two (2) years. With our previous policy, emergency updates (hotfixes) were only available for one (1) year after the initial release date.
This means that according to the new Service Life Policy and at the time of its announcement, the End of Life date for DXP 2023.Q3 had already occurred (October 20, 2024) and the End of Life date for DXP 2023.Q4 was soon to follow (December 12, 2024).
To enable customers to adjust to this new LTS model, Liferay is extending Premium Support (including emergency updates) for the DXP 2023.Q3 and DXP 2023.Q4 versions until December 31, 2025.
| Product Version | End of Premium Support | End of Free Extended Premium Support and End of Life |

|---|---|---|
| DXP 2023.Q3 | October 20, 2024 | December 31, 2025 |
| DXP 2023.Q4 | December 12, 2024 | December 31, 2025 |
Extended Premium Support will not be available for purchase and will not be extended beyond December 31, 2025.
Updating to a DXP LTS version will ensure that you are using a product in the Premium Support phase. This includes full access to product defect resolutions, product updates, and proactive security scans. Many customers are using DXP LTS versions, thus creating stabilized releases that have been production-tested with real world use cases.
