*Other Products includes Liferay Maven, Liferay Sync, Liferay Developer Studio, Liferay Mobile SDK and Liferay Faces.
For each Liferay product, Liferay Subscription Services will notify our engineers upon the discovery of any unintended behavior. These issues will be fixed in a future release of the product in question, whether that is the portal, a marketplace app, or one of our additional products.
For Liferay Portal as well as Marketplace Apps, Liferay Subscription Services will provide fixes for high-impact issues in the Liferay Portal.
Liferay Portal: For the Liferay Portal, an emergency hotfix will be provided via the Liferay Help Center to patch the issue in question.
Marketplace Apps: For high-impact issues within Liferay Marketplace apps*, Support will go beyond fixing the issue in the latest version and will provide subscribers with an updated version of the app via a Help Center ticket. This version will be complete with all the known fixes for the app to date.

Liferay Subscription Services will periodically release fix packs for certain areas of the Liferay Portal. Fix Packs are carefully selected collections of patches that will uphold the quality and reliability of the Portal. Fix packs undergo a rigorous testing and QA phase and thus introduce significantly less risk to the portal than an emergency hot fix.
As fix packs are created over time, Liferay will periodically release consolidated fix packs for the Liferay Portal. As the name implies a consolidated fix pack is essentially a combination of the fix packs to date, comprising fixes across many different areas of the portal. Installing these are the easiest way to keep your portal up-to-date.
