[LES] Getting Started with Liferay Enterprise Search

This content is available to customers with active Liferay Enterprise Search (LES) subscriptions

To activate your Enterprise Search product, Administrators should navigate to the Customer Portal's Product Activation tab on the left sidebar navigation and select Enterprise Search. For more details please refer this video tutorial.

The license provided through Customer Portal can be installed on the Elasticsearch clusters covered by your project's subscriptions. The license is time based and typically expires at the end of your Enterprise Search subscription term.

To get started with Liferay Enterprise Search:

1. Download and Install Elasticsearch

Select a version compatible with Liferay.

Installation Instructions:

  • To install the attached license in your Elasticsearch cluster, please follow the Elasticsearch documentation, for example for Elasticsearch 7.x: Update License

2. Download and Install Liferay Enterprise Search Apps

Starting from Liferay DXP 7.4, Enterprise Search Apps are included in Liferay DXP and do not need to be downloaded separately.

For Liferay DXP 7.3 and below, Enterprise Search Apps can be downloaded from Liferay Help Center: Download here (under the Enterprise Search category)
