Issue

• I would like to change my Liferay account password.
• I would like to update my Liferay account information: company information, addresses, phone numbers, etc.

Resolution

Liferay customers are able to update their basic contact information through Customer Portal:

1. Go to support.liferay.com 
2. After signing in, expand your user menu (located in the top right corner)
3. Click on Account Settings.

To update your Personal Information:

1. Click Edit Profile
2. Re-enter your Liferay account password
3. On the reloaded page, click Edit on the Personal Information table
4. Make updates to your name, email, phone, and time zone
   
   • Note: Phone numbers must be entered in the proper E.164 format:
     [+] [country code] [subscriber number including area code]
   • Note: For security purposes, free email addresses (example: xyz@gmail.com) are not allowed.
5. Click Save

To update your Password:

1. Enter your Current Password under the Change Password table 
2. Enter your New Password and Confirm New Password 
3. Click Change Password

To update your Display Language: 

1. Click Edit on the Display Language table
2. Select the desired language from the drop-down field
3. Click Save

Optionally, to update the display language, you can leverage the language selector on the site that you are currently visiting.
