Client Extension Support for PaaS - Beta Release

Today Liferay Cloud is releasing Beta support for Client Extensions on Liferay PaaS!
Details
Client Extensions is a cloud technology that allows developers to easily extend Liferay in a cloud native way, providing greater flexibility, more customization options, and most importantly choose their preferred language, all the while providing seamless (e.g. zero code changes) when upgrading to newer DXP versions.
Beginning today, customers with updated CI and Liferay images can deploy client extensions to their PaaS environments. Below are the main requirements to run Client Extensions on PaaS.
- CI Service Image 6.0.0+
- Liferay DXP 2023.Q4+
- Sufficient Quota*
*Client Extensions use environment resources like instances, memory, and CPU. Subscription change may be required to add sufficient resource quota. Contact Sales for more information.
That's it! Client Extensions will be deployed to the same environment as the rest of the Liferay PaaS stack but can be updated independently using a separate CI pipeline and version control directory.
