Description

Improve JavaScript performance in IE for Document Library.

  • Analyse the problem areas and optimized performance.
  • Attempt to use native JavaScript methods, available in IE7, rather than AUI/YUI methods.
  • These AUI/YUI methods may brute force the DOM, in order to simulate none-native methods.

Hi there! We are in the process of updating our LPS Component Hierarchy in order to make component assignment more accurate. That said, the Javascript component will be updated to "UI > JavaScript & CSS". Thanks for understanding!

The current changes are a lot of code changes, but the improvement is only 20ms. Rather than risking a possible breakage, we need improve performance by a wider margin.
