AUI-Charts doesn't work under Internet Explorer browser in sucesive executions

Description

The component works fine the first time you run it, but in successive executions the component stops working and just shows a blank flash document

Steps to reproduce:

  • Include a fragment of code like the attached file inside a jsp:
  • Open Internet explorer and the graph is visible
  • Reload the browser

In this point the graph is not visible.

Bug - A problem which impairs or prevents the functions of the product. AUI-785 Chars component does not display the chart after page refresh (caching issue)

Using IE-8 and putting in the script in the breadcrumb portlet, this screenshot shows the empty portlet after a refresh.

FAILED Manual Testing following the steps in the description.

Reproduced on:
Tomcat 7.0.25 + MySQL 5. IE8. Portal 6.1.10 EE GA 1.

  • Refreshing the page causes the aui-chart to disappear.

Failed on:
Tomcat 7.0.34 + MySQL 5. IE8. Portal 6.1.x EE GIT ID: 9276763c2624917d0262962c078f979246cfe027.

  • Refreshing the page causes the aui-chart to disappear.

Fixed on:
Tomcat 7.0.34 + MySQL 5. IE8. Portal 6.2.x CE GIT ID: 09c572209b61c3a52f8c83a2bc327b5125417ce0.

  • Refreshing the page will not cause the aui-chart to disappear.

Fixed on:
Tomcat 7.0.34 + MySQL 5. IE8. Portal 6.1.x EE GIT ID: 4e1f4356efff2f43b57b66f59cf19380d550d110.

  • Go to the \ROOT\html\portlet and use the script found in the attachment. Add the script to an existing portlet's view.jsp (e.g. breadcrumb)
  • User is still able to view the aui-chart after refreshing the page.
